| Poison The Well sind zur Zeit in Schweden um Studio, um ihr neues Album aufzunehmen. Das trägt noch keinen Namen und wo es veröffentlicht wird, ist auch noch unbekannt. "We've made the very long trek from Miami, Florida to Umea, Sweden. Right now we're trying to fight jet lag and not really sure what time it's because it's dark all the time. Once again will be working with the Swedish duo, Pelle Henricsson and Eskil Lövström (Refused, Cult of Luna). We start moving into the studio on Monday, an old town hall/barn on the edge of town where we will being doing all the basic tracking (drums, bass, and guitar) and right after that we will be moving into Tonteknik Recording Studios to finish up with overdubs, vocals, mixing and mastering. In total we should be here for about 6 weeks. We're pretty excited to finish this record up and expecting to have a release date early next year." | |

| Die allseits bekannten Liar aus Belgien haben sich getrennt. Das stand schon seit etwas längerer Zeit fest, aber jetzt ist es öffentlich. Hier das Statement zur Trennung von Liar: 'After 11 years of LIAR, the time has come to end it all here and now. We take pride in all the things we have done through the years, we take pride in the fact that we have paved the path for a current metalcore scene, did things back then no-one else did and that this small band out of small region in Belgium called h8000 could do a bunch of great tours in and out of Europe over the years. Not many bands in this scene have the chance and inspiration to put out 5 full lenght releases and a bunch of other stuff, this is again an action i take personal pride in, being the starter of Liar and one and only original member left, i see this kind of as a personal statement, but it's definitely in the name of Liar as a collective. A crazy bunch of situations that have occured this year leaves no other choice than just quitting …All the huge positive feedback on our latest effort, Murder Manifesto, should give every band plenty of motivation and energy to conquer and continue, but to us it just brought sheer misery… Constant line-up changes, cancellations and basically a band without a plan lately aren't good motivations to keep the fire buring, it was a bit too much to handle in the very end. Liar has started out as a 100% sXe band and after the many fill-ins live, that weren't edge and the difficulties of finding members that are, that's another big problem to keep it going. Thanx a million to the fill-ins for being there and made a lot of things still possible of course. We met amazingly great people through the years, made a ton of friends and especially the GSR staff picked us up and made it possible to release our last effort 'murder manifesto'. Hier gibt es nun ein Statement von Fall Of Serenity: 'So we are not on tour with the cool people of Hate Eternal, Spawn Of Possession und Shadowsland anymore. We were forced to do this decision together with our label and our management, because there went a lot of things just badly wrong. To put it together, the organisation and management of this tour messed up our intended goal to do promotion for our new album “bloodred salvation”. It was almost impossible. So it is a decision that is better for our band. We know that Metallysee is a good partner concerning tours, but in this case something does´nt fit together in the right way. Maybe because some other booking agency set up this tour. We feel very sorry to dissapoint you guys who wanted to see Fall Of Serenity on this tour. Take the next chance please. To make it clear, there is nothing wrong with our band. If you wanna see the other bands on this tour, pleasemake sure that you travel to the right place, venue or even the right city. Get as much information as you can get about the show you want to visit. Otherwise it´s possible that you will stand in front of closed doors. | Nun ist es bekannt, Jr Jewing aus Norwegen haben sich getrennt. Hier das Statement der Band: "We are truly sad to announce that by the fall of 2006 JR Ewing will no longer be a band. After 8 years we feel it's time to move on. This has been a very hard decision for us, as we all love each others company and feel our music is as relevant today as when we started out in 1998. We hardly had any ambitions beyond playing a couple of shows for the hell of it, but it ended up being a life-altering experience that we feel very honoured and humble to have been a part of. JR Ewing has been to over 20 countries in our time as a band, and we feel we've seen and experienced more in these 8 years than we expected to do in a lifetime. We've met an incredible amount of inspiring people who have encouraged us on our way, and made us feel welcome even when thousands of miles from home. There's been so many people who have come out to see us everytime we've visisted their town, sung our songs, bought our records, and made us understand why were were doing this. Also, many of you have come up to us and told us how we've affected things for you, and that's something we will always remember. We can't thank you enough. It's hard to for us to explain what we've been trying to do with our music, but the one thing we know is that we have wanted to be challenging from day one. We have never compromised, even when it could've made things alot easier for us, and that is what will make our music still mean something when it's all over. We have tried to write about the things that has been occupying our minds, hoping that other people would understand what the hell we were talking about. We have not done what people have expected us to , and we've been unafraid of change. Repetition Is Failure. Along the way it has been harder for the members involved to have the same agenda, especially when it comes to the touring aspect of being in JR Ewing. Being away from our loved ones for months only to return home to a pile of bills we couldn't pay has proven to be a challenging ordeal, which can make any man unhappy. We are still the best of friends and we will be hanging out until we're old and in a wheelchair in some nursinghome, watching the videofootage we shot on tour while trying the drugs we didn't dare to do when we were young. What now? Well, it's not over quite yet. There's a batch of shows that have been booked for a while which mostly includes festivals throughout the summer. We will be playing all of those, including the great Roskilde Festival in Denmark. We will also be playing some last shows in Norway in August/September, as well as a couple in central Europe. We hope to see you all there, so we can make these last shows really count. We will be digging up some songs we haven't played for quite some time, so we promise something for everyone." | |

| Hier ein paar Notes von Terror über ihre Tour, das neue Album und den neuen Gitarristen. "We just returned from our first tour of Mexico... it was pretty insane to say the least. The shows were out of control, kids were out of there minds, and we saw some out of this world outside of the shows. I never thought in my life I'd see a car in the aprking lot after a Terror show selling bootleg Terror shits out of a trunk, but it happened. Nick was happy to take a bunch from the dude as our cut. Coming up on the touring front we have Saturday night at the New England Metal Fest, April 29th. After that we are off to Brazil for four shows with our friends Born From Pain. Then directly to the UK and Europe for the Sounds of the Underground tour there with the one and only Madball (also Unearth and Chimira). Back to the USA for a three week run with Death Before Dishonor and lastly the whole US and Canada on Sounds of the Underground with As I Lay Dying, Gwar, Cannibal Corpse, Black Dahlia Murder and many more. We will also hit Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and Puerto Rico when the new record is out. We cant wait to get back on the road. July 4th is the day our new record 'Always The Hard Way' hits the streets. It's 14 new tracks, recorded at Planet Z and features guest spots from Eddie Sutton of Leeway, Aaron The Knuckles from Death Threat, and Murs & Mr. Dibbs for any of you hip hop heads. We can't wait to get this out so everyone can hear it. Trustkill is putting it out in the US, Roadrunner in Europe, UK, Japan, and Austraila, Lockin' Out will be doing the vinyl for North America and Reflections for Europe. May 30th, Trustkill releases our first ever DVD, 'The Living Proof.' It has a full set from London with a new song, studio stuff, a bunch of funny bullshitting, interviews and lots of show footage from around the world. It's all completed and it came out amazing, so check it out. The DVD also comes with some cool extra packaging and a coupon for money savings on the new CD. Lastly, we want to let everone know Terror has had some member changes over the last few months. Today we have finally again solidified the Terror line up and it is no doubt the strongest to date. Scott, Nick and Doug have been holding it down now for years. Our new bass player is Jonathan Buske who has played with The Promise, Rag Men, and Another Victim, and we now also have Martin Stewart as our second guitarist. | Official press release: Last year marked the inaugural Sounds of the Underground tour, which saw 17 of the best and most brutal metal acts around traverse the U.S. and Canada in what proved to be a very successful alternative to the more commercial Ozzfest. The tour hit the parking lot of the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ on July 2nd, 2005, and with it came almost 5000 fans. Metal bands like A Life Once Once Lost and Strapping Young Lad hammered out their sets alongside hardcore acts like Madball and Throwdown in the sweltering 95+ degree midday heat. As the sun began to set, stalwarts like Chimaira, Poison the Well and From Autumn to Ashes played well into the darkness. All of the passion and power of that day is captured in Sounds of the Underground Live: Vol. 1, which will hit streets on June 20th. DRT Entertainment will be releasing the DVD which documents the day's festivities, complete with performances from 16 of the 17 artists who participated in the tour. Along with over 90 minutes of performance footage, the DVD also features vignettes on every band on the tour, along with a host of hilarious 'guest interview' segments from members of GWAR, Every Time I Die and Throwdown. | Die dänischen As We Fight werden Ende Juni für drei Wochen ins Smart ‚n’ Hard Studio gehen, um ihr neues Album aufzunehmen, welches wieder durch Goodlife Records veröffentlicht wird. Das Ganze wird dann von Tue Madsen (Cataract) gemixt. Casper, der Drummer von As We Fight, hat beschlossen, die Band zu verlassen. Er wird aber noch seinen Teil zum neuen Album erfüllen. Hier das Statement von Casper : "Well, I decided to split with As We Fight, because I don't have my heart in it anymore. It have been some hectic years for me, I was only fifteen when I got in the band and I'm nineteen now, some of the best times in my life and some of the worst have all happened within this band, they all have affected me with good memories, as well as bad, spending so many hours together can be so hard but it has simply become too much for me to handle, with all the tours and all that stuff. I've seen a lot of countries, faces, yeah pretty much everything, so I'll keep those as good memories and move on in my life, with something new. But I will record the new album with the guys, since we are pretty much done with all the songs, and I will also play the last shows we have booked until Summer, and then I'm out for good. We will part as friends, and I wish them all good in the future. Folgendes hat er beim Comeback Kid Myspace Profil geschrieben: 'Life is full of hard decisions, but only a few of them are as big as this and absolutely life changing. I was faced with one of these decisions. The kind of decision that keeps you up nights, tossing and turning, leaving your stomach in knots. I have decided to leave Comeback Kid. This band has been my life for the past 4 years, and I was a roadie for another band prior to that. I really don't know, or have anything else in my life. | Das Corezine blickt auf ein erfolgreiches Jahr 2005 zurück. Nicht nur, daß wir mittlerweile in der Lage sind, euch immer aktuelle Rezensionen von nahezu allen relevanten Labels zukommen zu bieten, auch der News-Bereich, sowie die aktuellen Konzert-Reviews und die Photogallerie wurden immer weiter ausgebaut. Im Frühjahr haben wir nicht nur das Arnhem Hardcore Meeting besucht, sondern auch Stephan als neuen Mitarbeiter begrüßt. Im Zuge dieser Entwicklungen ist auch die Gemeinde der Lesenden über das Jahr stetig gewachsen. Deswegen geht der erste Dank raus an alle, die auf unserer Seite landen, lesen und wiederkommen! Klingt abgedroschen, aber ohne Leser macht ein E-Zine wirklich überhaupt keinen Sinn. Zum zweiten möchten wir uns bei allen Kontakpartnern bei den Labels und Vertrieben bedanken, die uns über das Jahr immer freundlich (und oft auch geduldig) betreut haben. Vielen Dank auch an alle Bands, mit denen wir in diesem Jahr gesprochen haben. Es waren alle nett und entgegenkommend, so machen Interviews Spaß! Nachdem eigentlich nur eine Re-Union Show für das Hellfest geplant war, haben sie jetzt beschlossen wieder richtig weiterzumachen. wasteofminde.de zitiert: "I was surprised how many people said that before the shows they were confused about our motivations for playing shows again - thinking, "If 108 aren't Hare Krishnas anymore, why would they want to play those songs again?" I admit that the members of 108 were once deeply involved in the external social aspect of religion known as "Hare Krishna" - and today or tomorrow we may or may not be. The songs that we created in 108, however, are, always were, and always will be a deep part of our inner selves - our "souls." The convictions and expressions of our inner selves are identical, if not even more powerful, then those we held a decade and more ago. Changes to our external social affiliations have absolutely nothing to do with the emotional and spiritual connection we will always have with the songs we have created and the messages and meanings in them. On to other news: we had such a positive experience rehearsing and playing together as a band again that we have decided to continue. Our next shows are planed to be sometime in early winter of this year, in Southern California. We are starting work on creating new 108 material - some of which we might be ready to play for you by those shows, and which will - we hope - be released in some format sometime not too long after that. | Neues von POISON THE WELL | |
| Entgegen allen Gerüchten haben sich POISON THE WELL nicht aufgelöst. Zusammen mit den beiden neuen Bandmitgliedern Jason Boyer (Gitarre) und Ben Brown (Bass) arbeiten sie sogar fleissig an neuen Songs, die sie in den nächsten Monaten zu einem neuen Album zusammenfassen wollen. Die Aufnahmen werden in Umea, Schweden, im Tonteknik Studio stattfinden, die bereits für den Sound von REFUSEDs "Shape of Punk to come" verantwortlich waren.
